Watermelon Prosecco Margaritas

Who doesn't love a margarita? Watermelon and prosecco are the stars of this cocktail! This drink is refreshing, and full of flavor.

This refreshing cocktail recipe that blends of tequila, prosecco, and fresh watermelon juice and can be easily made into a party pitcher for Cinco de Mayo, or any other celebration. 


For prosecco syrup:

1 cup prosecco

1 1/4 cups sugar

For watermelon margarita

coarse salt or sugar, for the rim


2 ounces tequila silver

1 ounce fresh lime juice

2 ounces fresh watermelon juice

2 ounces prosecco

lime wedges, for serving and garnish


1. Combine sugar and prosecco in a saucepan over medium heat.

2. Bring to boil and whisk until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and let mixture cool. 

3. Rim a glass with a lime wedge and dip in coarse salt or sugar to coat. (Optional) 

4. Fill glass with ice. 

5. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, prosecco syrup, and watermelon juice. Shake for 30 seconds. 

6. Pour drink mixture into glass and top off with prosecco. 

7. Add lime wedges for serving or garish with mint leaves and a small slice of watermelon.
