Passionfruit Cocktail

A refreshing and tangy cocktail for those who adore passion fruit!

This passionfruit martini is elegant and sophisticated and just so, so lovely. I have used fresh passion fruit but you can buy passionfruit purée online to make things easier.

It's the perfect Cocktail you can make for Valentines Day!

Passionfruit liqueur (I recommend using Passoa, Edmond Briottet Fruits de la Passion (Passion Fruit) Liqueur)

Passion fruit purée: I recommend Funkin Pro  if you plan to make a large number of cocktails. Note that once opened it needs to be used within 8 days. Monin passion fruit purée  is another option with longer self life (needs to be consumed within 4 weeks) but it’s a bit cloying and thick so so use sparingly!

Monin passion fruit syrup (flavoured sugar syrup)

STEP 1 Fill your martini glass with ice.Halve the passionfruit. Slice one thin sliver and set aside. Scoop the rest out the flesh / seeds into a small sieve. Press at the pulp with the back of the spoon and extract the juice (into your cocktail shaker).

STEP 2 Add all the remaining ingredients and fill the shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until frost forms on the outside of the shaker.

STEP 3 Discard the ice from the martini glass. Strain the cocktail into the glass. Decorate with a fine slice of passionfruit.
