This is kind of an amalgamation of a mezcal margarita and a Penicillin. Probably I was just looking for an excuse to add cask strength Laphroaig to my margarita and an excuse to add salt to my Penicillin.
That sounds like something I'd do.
⠀Ingredients⠀
1 1/2 oz mezcal⠀
1/2 oz cask strength Islay single malt⠀
3/4 oz lemon juice⠀
1/2 oz ginger-honey syrup⠀
rim: honey and salt⠀
garnish: candied ginger⠀
⠀Method
Rim glass with honey and salt. Combine ingredients with ice, shake well, and double strain over fresh ice. Garnish.
