Rhubarb Fizz Cocktail


Rhubarb season is upon us and our first bartender, wanted to make #supportlocal a priority with some locally sourced ingredients. 

I’m glad he did because he also whipped up a ridiculously delicious Rhubarb syrup that you’ll definitely want to try for yourself!

Rhubarb Syrup:

1 part fresh rhubarb (chopped into pieces)
1 part water
1 part sugar


Method: 

combine chopped rhubarb and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Turn off heat and let cool. Strain rhubarb bits through a sieve or cheesecloth (feel free to reserve bits for a dessert!).

Ingredients

1.5oz 18.8 Vodka
0.5oz Aperol
0.75oz Rhubarb Syrup*
0.75oz Lemon Juice 1oz Soda
Egg White

Method

Shake all ingredients (except soda) without ice. Add ice, shake again and pour into a rocks or highball glass. Top with soda. Garnish: Rhubarb Ribbon.
