Pinkies Up Club Cocktail

Gin, Orgeat, and blackberries make for a creamy, tart and refreshing cocktail! Enjoy the fruits of summer with this berry cocktail!

For your information, replacing the Raspberries in a Clover Club cocktail with Blackberries still produces one heck of a nice drink. I’m starting to lose it from staying indoors for so long so I decided today was as good a day as any to throw normal conventions out the window and do a little berry-switcheroo. . It’s highly unlikely I’m the first person to do the berry switch, but today I’m feeling accomplished, nonetheless.

I also used an orgeat instead of simple syrup, to bring the nuttiness into the glass. You can create a berry-infused syrup if you like, but muddling will do just fine on a quiet humpday. .

Fun Fact: the vibrantly colourful drink that is the Clover Club was invented in a pre-prohibition era gentleman’s club, also named The Clover Club, and was originally only drunk by men. Since then, the drink has been labeled a “Ladies Drink” by many. Mark my words, it does not matter to me one bit…I will happily drink a pink drink out of a flower coupe (pinkies up) and my manliness will remain firmly intact.

2 ounces London Dry Gin
1/4 ounce Orgeat
1/2 ounce fresh Lemon juice
